PEAT (People Enabling Area Transformation)

Over the Bridge Project

Wakefield’s PEAT Project is a Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme that is part financed by the European Structural and Investment Fund, and will run until 2022. Bridge-It Housing will be delivering Objective 2; Connecting by Removing Barriers.

Our company values are Passion, Diversity, Empowerment, and Community. Over the Bridge Project will tackle the barriers, stigmas, and ignorance of society in order to provide real opportunities for less privileged individuals to become independent and access sustainable training and employment prospects.

The time scale to see an individual through the programme will be a maximum of 24 weeks, based on a 3 stage process which is listed, in brief, below;

Stage one: Weeks 1 – 12

  • We will identify and address existing barriers through individual risk assessments

Stage two: Weeks 13 – 18

  • We will actively assist beneficiaries to search and apply for employment or training opportunities

Stage Three: Weeks 19 – 24 this is the transition period where service users will be supported to sustain their new employment or training.

  • Aftercare provided
